Description

What Are ClearChoice Hypochlorous Pre-Soaked Wipes?

Sixty wipes in a jar, each one soaked in 0.02% pure hypochlorous. $28.99, so roughly 48 cents a wipe. This is the only hypochlorous-soaked lid wipe we stock. Every other wipe on our shelf runs on tea tree oil or a surfactant cleanser, so if you wanted the hypochlorous routine without a spray bottle and a bag of cotton pads, this is it.

Made in Canada by ProMed Eye Health out of Abbotsford, BC. Preservative-free, oil-free, vegan, no added fragrance. It is the same solution as the ClearChoice spray, already on the wipe.

How These Compare to the Other Lid Wipes We Carry

This is not a "which is better" question. It is a "what is on the wipe" question. Tea tree wipes and hypochlorous wipes do different jobs, and plenty of our customers keep both.

Wipe What is on it What it feels like Price
ClearChoice Hypochlorous 0.02% hypochlorous, oil-free No sting, faint pool scent, dries in seconds $28.99 / 60 wipes
I-Lid 'N Lash Wipes Hyaluronic acid plus a gentle surfactant Mild, moisturizing, everyday $23.99
I-Lid 'N Lash Plus 5% tea tree oil Can sting, built for a 60-day Demodex routine $27.99
Blephadex Wipes Tea tree oil Stronger clean, some people find it drying $34.99
Blephaclean Micellar, sterile single sachets Very gentle, the pre and post surgery pick $19.99

Rule of thumb from the counter: tea tree when your optometrist has told you to deal with mites, hypochlorous or surfactant when the goal is a clean lid margin every day without irritation. The Plus wipes are a course you finish. ClearChoice is a habit you keep.

How to Use Them (and the Makeup Trick)

Close your eye, wipe gently along the lash line and lid, fresh wipe for the other eye, let it air dry. No rinse. ProMed labels them for the lids, lashes and the skin around the eye. Morning, night, or both.

The part people like most: they take off eye makeup. Oil-free, so they do not smear mascara around and they do not loosen lash extension glue on most extensions. We hear from customers who used to buy a separate makeup remover and a separate lid wipe and now buy one jar.

Screw the lid on tight after every use or the top wipes dry out. Room temperature, away from sun. Contact lens wearers can use them; keep the eye closed while you wipe and you are fine.

What Does Dr. Sidhu Recommend?

For daily maintenance on lids that do not tolerate tea tree, these or the ClearChoice spray. Warm compress first (Blepha EyeBag, 8 to 10 minutes), then the wipe, because heat softens the debris so it comes off. If your optometrist has diagnosed Demodex, the I-Lid 'N Lash Plus wipes are the right tool and these are what you move to once the course is done. See everything in the eyelid hygiene collection.

Common Questions About ClearChoice Wipes

Are these the same solution as the spray?
Yes, 0.02% hypochlorous in both. The spray is the cheaper route if you do not mind cotton pads. The jar wins on travel and speed.

Do they sting?
No. Nothing added for scent either. You get a faint pool smell for a few seconds and then nothing.

How long does a jar last?
Sixty wipes, one per eye per clean. Twice a day, that is 15 days. Once a day, a month.

What is the expiry?
Printed on the jar. [VERIFY shelf life once opened with ProMed before publishing.]

FAQ
Q: How do I use this product?
A: Close the eye and wipe gently along the lid and lash line. Use a fresh wipe for the other eye. Let air dry, no rinsing. Use morning, night or both. Also removes eye makeup.

Q: Is it safe with contact lenses and lash extensions?
A: Yes. Keep the eye closed while wiping. The formula is oil-free, so it is safe with most lash extensions.

Q: How should I store the jar?
A: Room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the lid tightly closed so the wipes do not dry out.

Q: How long should I use a warm compress?
A: 8-10 minutes per session. Shorter times won't soften the oils in your eyelid glands effectively.

Q: Should I do lid wipes before or after warm compress?
A: Heat first, then wipe. The warmth softens debris so it comes off more easily.
